LAMPTER, éris, Gr. Λαμπτὴρ, ῆρος, ein Beynamen des Bacchus, der zu Pellene in Achaia seinen Tempel hatte. Er hat solche Benennung von den Fackeln, die an dessen Feste, welches Lampteria hieß, bey Nacht in dem Tempel angezündet wurden, da man indessen durch die ganze Stadt hin und wieder auf den Gassen Weinfässer aufstellete.
