CORESIA, æ, Gr. Κορησία, ας, ein Beynamen der Minerva, Steph. Byz. in Κόριον, welche Jupiters und der Koryphe, einer Tochter des Oceans, Tochter war und diesen Namen insonderheit bey den Arkadiern hatte. Cic. de N.D. lib. III. c. 23. p. 1199. Einige wollen, daß sie ihren Tempel auch in Creta zu Korion gehabt, und solchen Beynamen von Κόρη bekommen habe. Steph. Byz. l. c. P wobeysie aber einige für Coresia lieber nur Coria nennen. Cic. l. c. Gyrald. Synt. XI. & ad eum Schrevel. l. c. p. 353.
