BIAS, antis, Gr. Βίας, αντος, ( Tab. XXV.) des Amynthaons und der Idomene Sohn, Apollod. lib. I. c. 9. §. 11. bekam durch seines Bruders, des Melampus, Vermittelung, die Pero, des Neleus Tochter, zur Gemahlinn, Id. ib. §. 12. und zeugete mit ihr den Talaus. Id. ib. §. 13. Als die argivischen Weiber nachher vom Bacchus gestrafet wurden, daß sie als rasend auf dem Felde herum liefen, und sein Bruder Melampus dieselben wieder zurechte brachte, so bekam er für sich auch ein Stück des argivischen Reichs. Pausan. Corinth. c. 18. Sonst waren seine Söhne noch Leodokus, Apollon. lib. I. v. 119. oder wie er sonst genannt wird, Lakodokus und Areius, Orpheus Argonaut. v. 146. & ad eum Eschenbach. l. c. ingleichen seine Tochter, die Anaxibia, welche nach einigen Pelias heurathete. Apollod. lib. I. c. 9. §. 10.
