SAGITTA, æ, Gr. Τόξον, ου, am Himmel, ist, nach einigen, der Pfeil, womit Herkules den Adler erschoß, der dem Prometheus die immerzu wieder wach sende Leber abfraß. Hygin. Astron. Poët. l. II. c. 15. Nach andern ist es der, womit Apollo die Cyklopen erschoß, den er zwar hernach auf einem Berge bey den Hyperboreern begrub, allein, als Jupiter ihm solche That verziehen hatte, der Wind ihm wieder zugeführet brachte, und den er sodann unter die Sterne versetzete.
