CENCHRIAS, æ, Gr. Κεγχρίας, ου, ( Tab. XI.) Neptuns und der Pirene, einer Tochter des Achelous, oder nach andern des Oebalus Sohn, Pausan. Diana unversehens auf der Jagd erschoß, und damit machete, daß ihn dessen Mutter so heftig beweinete, daß sie endlich in einen Brunnen darüber verwandelt wurde. Immittelst hat von ihm doch der Haven der Corinthier Cenchreä den Namen bekommen. Pausan. Corinth. c. 2. & 3. p. 88, 89. & 129.
